Holiday Closure

SJC will observe Spring Break from March 17-21, 2025. No classes will be held during this time, but all SJC campuses and offices will remain open with regular hours from Monday, March 17, through Thursday, March 20. On Friday, March 21, all SJC campuses and offices will be closed, with the exception of the HHPC.

R. Shane Chance

Shane Chance R. Shane Chance has served on the San Juan College Board of Trustees in 2004, representing district 6.

In 1991, Chance obtained his associates degree from San Juan College, and in 1993, earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from New Mexico State University (NMSU).

In 1996, Chance became a Certified Public Accountant, and opened his own accounting firm in Aztec in 1997, where he remains to date. In addition to serving on the San Juan College Board of Trustees, Chance has previously served as the board secretary/treasurer for the San Juan County Partnership, and as board treasurer for the San Juan Center of Independence.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer, and their daughters. He also enjoys golfing, Tae Kwon Do, horse racing, and working on various projects.
